UN&UP is the first Missouri company to ever receive 4 NIH SBIR Phase I awards within the same year

Thanks to our strong relationships with the nation's leading research institutions and prominent clinical and scientific researchers, we are proud to have achieved this successful milestone a little more than a year after the launch of our company, which is accomplished by less than 2% of all companies applying for NIH SBIR funding.

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, also known as America’s Seed Fund, are one of the largest sources of early-stage capital for technology commercialization in the United States. These programs allow US-owned and operated small businesses to engage in federal research and development that has a strong potential for commercialization. The National Institutes of Health’s SBIR and STTR programs invest over 1 billion dollars into health and life science companies that are creating innovative technologies that align with NIH’s mission to improve health and save lives.
