UNandUP Spotlights First Cohort of STL CAPS Students as part of its Community Impact Initiative

As part of UNandUP’s commitment to developing the next generation of biomedical engineers and innovators, we are pleased to spotlight our first cohort of STL CAPS (Centers for Advanced Professional Studies) students: Allison Neaf and Kristina Campbell. Both are seniors at Lindbergh High School in Sappington, Missouri and student associates in the STL CAPS Engineering program.

Allison Neaf is a member of the varsity girls golf team and participates in Thespian Troupe #2533. Through the STL CAPS Engineering program, she has gained hands-on experience through engineering competitions, business tours, and professional networking opportunities. Allison plans to pursue biomedical engineering and is eager to build foundational laboratory skills at UNandUP to support her academic and professional development.

Kristina Campbell has a strong interest in the research and laboratory side of biomedical engineering. As an STL CAPS intern at UNandUP, she is excited to support researchers, help maintain the lab environment, and gain insight into the research and development process in biomedical engineering. Kristina has a passion for the medical field and hopes to pursue a career in research or pharmaceutical laboratories developing medicines that improve lives.
